REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL (RDC) 8 CHAIRPERSON AND ORMOC CITY MAYOR LUCY TORRES GOMEZ presided over her first RDC 8 Full Council Meeting during the 4th Quarterly RDC 8 Blended Full Council Meeting held at the Ormoc City Hall on December 19, 2022.

The session started with the oath-taking ceremony of Mayor Lucy as the Chairperson and PSR Leo Christian Lauzon as Co-Chairperson led by Hon. Rene Romero, Jr., Presiding Judge of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (Ormoc City). This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony of the RDC 8 Sectoral Committees and RGDAC 8 Chairpersons and Co-Chairperson with Mayor Lucy as the Administering Officer. Discussed during said meeting were the details and approval of resolutions presented by each committee. Other concerns were also tackled and Mayor Lucy created task forces to come up with plans and solutions to address the concerns mentioned during the meeting. After the session, a press conference was held, which was attended by media partners both from the cities of Tacloban and Ormoc.
