DPWH BREAKS GROUND ON TWO INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS IN KANANGA. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) conducted a groundbreaking ceremony on two significant infrastructure projects in Kananga, Leyte on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

The ceremony was led by District Engineer Arnaldo R. Bonifacio, along with Leyte 4th District Representative Richard I. Gomez, Kananga Mayor Manuel Vicente M. Torres and barangay officials.

First is a multi-purpose building, which will soon rise in Brgy. Lonoy Elementary School and aims to provide a conducive learning environment for students that can also be used for extra-curricular activities.

The second project is the procurement and installation of streetlights in Brgy. Poblacion and Brgy. Rizal, which aims to illuminate the roads, and alert drivers to possible hazards. Further, with well-lit streets, residents can enjoy better visibility while motorists can drive with confidence and ensure the safety of the travelling public.

Both projects are funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2023 and are beneficial to the development and progress of Kananga, Leyte. (PR / EV Mail May 1-7, 2023 issue)
