BARANGAY ENVIRONMENT FORUM EMPOWERS LOCAL LEADERS TO GO FOR SUSTAINABLE CHANGE. The Barangay Affairs Office of Ormoc City, together with the Liga ng mga Barangay and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), hosted the much-anticipated Barangay Environment Forum on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, which aims to equip local leaders with practical knowledge on sustainable practices crucial for community well-being.
In attendance were Sangguniang Barangay Members (SBMs) responsible for Environmental and Sanitation matters.
City Councilor Lalaine Marcos, who is the Chairperson of the Committee on Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy Conservation of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP), also attended and shared that the “forum marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to environmental stewardship as it centralizes the city’s commitment to providing a sustainable environment for all. By fostering awareness and action at the grassroots level, we pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future.”
