ORMOC CITY CELEBRATES NATIONAL DISABILITY WEEK WITH INCLUSIVE SPORTSFEST. The Local Government Unit of Ormoc, under the auspices of the Ormoc City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (OCPDAO), celebrated the 46th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week with a spirited Sportsfest held at the Ormoc City Sports Complex on July 16, 2024.
The event was a testament to the city’s unwavering commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. The Sportsfest served as a platform to showcase the remarkable talents and abilities of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs).
Accordingly, it provided an opportunity for participants from various districts across the city to come together in friendly competition, fostering unity, camaraderie, and integration within the community.
Participants and spectators alike showed enthusiastic support throughout the Sportsfest, cheering on the athletes and embracing the spirit of inclusivity and solidarity. The event not only promoted physical fitness and healthy competition but also promoted a deeper understanding and appreciation of the abilities of PWDs.
