CATBALOGAN CITY – Ni-total sa 300 ka mga miembro sa CAFGU Active Auxiliary (CAA) ang naka-graduar sa CAA-1 Basic Military Training (BMT) niadtong Junyo 2, 2025 didto sa 8th Infantry Division Training School.
Malamposon nilang natapos ang 45 ka adlaw nga “intensive training,” nga gidesinyo aron molambo ang gitawag nga “physical endurance, discipline, and essential military skills.” Tuyo niini nga mabansay sila kon e-distino na sila sa mga komunidad o sa nagkalain-laing barangay lukop sa Eastern Visayas.
Si John Rick Oronos, ang usa sa mga nakalampos nagpasalamat sa Armed Forces of the Philippines, partikular sa 8th Infantry “Stormtroopers” Division, sa oportunidad nga maka-silbi siya sa nasud, labi na ang protiktahan ang komunidad aron mas mahapsay ug mag malinawon.
Si Col. Carmelito Pangatungan, ang Deputy Brigade Commander sa 801st Infantry Brigade, maoy keynote speaker atul sa graduation ceremony. Iyang gipahimog-atan ang pagka mahinungdanon sa mga CAA. “Ang pagiging CAFGU ay may kaakibat na responsibilidad. Bawat isa sa inyo ay may tungkuling protektahan ang komunidad kung saan kayo madedestino. Kayo ay isa nang ahente ng gobyerno na magpapatupad ng peace and order sa mga barangay,” pulong pa sa maong opisyal.
Samtang si Maj. Gen. Adonis Ariel Orio, ang Commander sa 8th Infantry Division, nihatag ug pagtagad sa mga CAAs isip “frontline partners” sa pagpatuman sa balaod aron mamintinar ang kahapsay ug kalinaw sa Rehiyon Otso. “Their presence in the communities strengthens our efforts in preventing the resurgence of insurgent influence, especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas. Through their dedication and vigilance, they serve as the backbone of local security, helping us deny any foothold to communist terrorist groups,” matud pa niini.
