The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) advances towards the completion of the Flood Control Structure (Downstream) in Brgy. Tabgas, Albuera, Leyte with a current accomplishment rate of 90.03 percent.

Funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2024, the project has a contract amount of PHP96.4 million and involves the construction of a 558 linear meter flood control structure with two berms for a total height of 6.65 meters.

Brgy. Tabgas has historically been vulnerable to flooding, especially during the rainy season, which has caused damage to homes.
