ORMOC CITY CELEBRATES THIS YEAR’S CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION (CSO) WEEK. The Local Government Unit of Ormoc City celebrated Civil Society Organization (CSO) Week 2024 at the Ormoc City Hall Lobby on Monday morning, September 16, 2024 with the event bringing together CSO members and organizations to engage with local government representatives and acknowledge their collective efforts.

The Chairperson of the Committee on Cooperatives, Accreditation of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), and People’s Participation, City Councilor Nolito Quilang, during the kick-off program, highlighted the importance of CSOs in government processes, saying that CSOs provide a platform for community engagement, ensuring diverse voices are heard, which contributes significantly to an effective government.
