OVER 1,000 RUNNERS from different parts of Leyte joined Rotary Club of Ormoc’s “Run to End Polio,” a half marathon of 5-km, 10-km, and 21-km, held last Sunday, October 27, 2024. The Club collaborated with the Ormoc City—Thursday Night Run (TNR) to organize such a successful half marathon.

“As we lace up our shoes and hit the pavement, let’s remember that every step we take brings us closer to a world free from polio. Let’s run with purpose, joy, and the knowledge that together, we are making history,” said Atty. Jeremiah Reynaldo, President of the Rotary Club of Ormoc.

Accordingly, the funds raised will be donated to the club’s polio eradication efforts globally and will also support surgical missions for the residents of Ormoc. (By James Gadiano / EV Mail October 21-27, 2024 issue)
