THE CITY GOVERNMENT OF ORMOC, in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), held a turnover and awarding ceremony of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) Livelihood Assistance cheque to the different livelihood associations on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the City Mayor’s Office conference room, where public officials and beneficiaries gathered to recognize what the said event represents, that is, that such empowers and supports individuals through sustainable economic opportunities.

A total of seven livelihood associations received their livelihood assistance cheques, including: Camp Downes Homebased Women SLPA (PHP590,000.00); Camp Downes Women’s Vendors SLP Association (PHP400,000.00); Samahan sa mga Magsasaka sa Patag (PHP400,000.00); Labrador Women Vendors SLPA (PHP240,000.00); Tambulilid Rice Dealer SLPA (PHP345,000.00); San Antonio Women’s SLP Association (PHP450,000.00); and Matica-a Vendors SLP Association (PHP345,000.00). Additionally, seven (7) sustainable livelihood program associations from Albuera, Leyte also received their respective cheques.
