ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 6, 2024, the Ormoc City Health Department, through its Health Emergency Management Services (HEMS), unveiled the city’s CPR Kiosk, offering people a simple and engaging way to learn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The Kiosk is found inside the Ormoc City Hall lobby. In her informational talk, Dr. Cecile Dejaño shared the importance of the kiosk, saying, “The CPR kiosk is an innovative tool to help individuals; this increases the general awareness of CPR.” She also emphasized that the Kiosk aims to make training more available, especially here in the city, where help might be needed urgently.
The Kiosk’s features, which include engaging videos, an automated training system, and practice mannequins for hands-on learning. The initiative aims to equip citizens with the skills and confidence to perform CPR during emergencies, enhancing the city’s preparedness for health emergencies.
