ORMOC’S SENIOR CITIZENS HOLD ORIENTATION ON R.A. NO. 11982. On Wednesday, January 8, 2025, senior citizens in the city of Ormoc received a boost in recognition and support as the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) held an orientation on the implementation of Republic Act No. 11982, also known as the “Octogenarians and Nonagenarians Centenarian Benefits Act,” held at the OSCA office.
Accordingly, senior citizens who turn 80, 85, 90, or 95 years old will receive an additional financial benefit of PHP10,000.00, as announced by the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC). These benefits will be distributed quarterly to qualified senior citizens, further ensuring consistent support for the elderly population.
