PNP STATION IN BARANGAY LIBERTY, ORMOC CITY TURNED OVER. On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, a newly constructed multi-purpose building, which will serve as a Philippine National Police (PNP) station, was officially turned over in a ceremony led by Leyte 4th District Representative Richard I. Gomez in Barangay Liberty, Ormoc City.
The GAA-funded facility has a total contract cost of PHP6.6 million and aims to enhance law enforcement services and public safety in Barangay Liberty and nearby areas.
The ceremony highlighted how important the new facility is to strengthening efforts to maintain peace and order. It is anticipated that the facility will enhance police officer efficiency and speed up reaction times to problems and community issues. The event was also graced by Ormoc City Police Director PCOL Reydante Ariza, representatives from the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), and the Barangay Liberty officials led by Punong Barangay Michell Gutierrez.
