ORMOC TURNS OVER MOTORIZED BANCAS AND FISHING GEARS. Leyte 4th District Representative Richard I. Gomez and Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez led the Turnover Ceremony of the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP)-Provision of Motorized Bancas and Fishing Gears last March 26, 2025 to support local fisherfolks. A total of 49 beneficiaries received motorized bancas, providing them with a sustainable means of livelihood.
Also present at the event were Ormoc City Councilors Burt Pades, Edmund Kierulf, Lalaine Marcos, Carmen Jean Torres Rama, and Kia Mercadal, as well as Former Vice Mayor Leo Carmelo Locsin, Jr., PESO-Ormoc Manager Josephine Hermosilla, and Irish Belmonte, the Head of Ormoc’s CAD-Fisheries Section.
