LGU-ORMOC TURNS OVER 2 INFRA PROJECTS COSTING PHP17.7-M. Two (2) infrastructure projects amounting to PHP17.7 million were formally turned over by LGU-Ormoc on April 14, 2025. The said project includes a two-storey, six-classroom building at Cogon Central School, which has a contract cost of PHP14,850,370.16, and a healthcare center in Brgy. Liloan, which has a contract cost of PHP2,918,672.31.
The said school building seeks to improve the academic institution’s environment for young students by making it more encouraging and stimulating. On the other hand, a healthcare center’s primary purpose is to provide various healthcare services to individuals in the community, from basic primary care to specialized treatments.
The turnover of said classroom building was led by Sangguniang Panlungsod Member (SPM) Nolito Quilang, Chairperson of the Committee on Education and Manpower Development, together with SPM Caren Torres-Rama, Vice Chairperson of the Committee on Education and Manpower Development; SPM Burt Pades; Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Federation President Krizea Caessandra Mercadal; Assistant Schools Division Superintendent (ASDS) Dr. Lorelei Masias; and Cogon Central School faculty, staff, and pupils.
Meanwhile, the turnover of the healthcare center was led by SPM Peter Rodriguez, who was joined by SPM Rama, SPM Pades, SK Federation President Mercadal, Liloan barangay officials headed by Punong Barangay Paolo James Pepito, barangay health workers, and the barangay residents.
