DPWH INSTALLS ROCKFALL NETTING ALONG BURAUEN-ALBUERA ROAD. The Department of Public Works (DPWH) Leyte 4^th District Engineering Office (DEO) is currently implementing a rockfall netting project along a portion of the Burauen-Albuera Road. Funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2024, the project has a contract amount of PHP96,443,843.27 which commenced on January 9, 2025 and is scheduled for completion by November 4, 2025.

With a total length of 110 ln. m. and a physical target of 4,001.76 sq. m., the project involves the installation of erosion control matting, permanent ground anchors, and high-tensile wire mesh. These components work together to provide slope protection in a geologically unstable area, helping to prevent rockfalls, landslides, and soil erosion that could pose serious risks to motorists.
