CONGRESSMAN RICHARD I. GOMEZ OF THE 4TH DISTRICT OF LEYTE SECURES HIS SECOND TERM WITH A RESOUNDING 171,406 VOTES. Congressman Richard Gomez was officially proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers as the duly elected Representative of the 4th District of Leyte, securing a decisive 171,406 votes. He prevailed over his opponent, Ching Veloso, who garnered 129,439 votes.
The proclamation took place on May 14, 2025 at the Leyte Provincial Capitol in Palo, Leyte. Joining Congressman Gomez during this momentous occasion was his wife, City Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez, who herself was proclaimed the duly-elected Mayor of Ormoc City on May 13, 2025, and the members of the Provincial Board of Canvassers.
