SECOND TAGA FESTIVAL HELD. Barangay Tinag-an’s 2nd Taga Festival was successfully held as the highlight of their fiesta in honor of Patron Saint Sr. San Vicente Ferrer. Engr. Enrico Barcelona, Punong Barangay, revealed that this year is already their third official celebration of the Foundation Day of Brgy. Tinag-an but it is only their second time to hold the said festival.

He personally thanked the parents for allowing their children to participate, as well as the LGU, barangay residents, and all those who supported them in this festivity.
Taga Festival is derived from the word “taga” used by the villagers in fishing, as their main livelihood. It was also learned from the Municipal Tourism Office of Albuera that Barangay Tinag-an is the very first duly-recognized and the only village in the entire town that was able to launch and continue to hold a festival.
This year, the grand winner is from Dr. Genaro Barte Zaldivar Memorial School of Fisheries, who went home with a cash prize of PHP40,000.00. They also got the minor awards such as the best in costume, best in street dance, and Taga King and Queen. Meanwhile, Tribu Laang of Damulaan National High School took Second Place with a cash prize of PHP30,000.00 and Balugo National High School went home with PHP20,000.00 as the Third Placer.
