LGU-ORMOC CITY IN COLLABORATION WITH THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) 8 conducted a ceremonial turnover of the eGov Kiosk located at the Ormoc City Hall lobby on June 4, 2025.
The said kiosk is a one-stop hub for government services packed in a sleek touch-screen monitor in order to streamline government services into one innovative platform. The goal of this project is to increase regional access to digital government services.
By installing the kiosk at the Ormoc City Hall, the public will have access to government services, eliminating the need for lengthy lines and in-person transactions at several offices. LGU-Ormoc, accordingly, has been chosen as one of the project’s deployment locations.
During said activity, City Councilor Rey Evangelista stressed that the said project is in line with LGU-Ormoc’s mission to provide quick, easy, and effective access to necessary government services. “This collaboration will further enrich the goals of our local government— to ensure that no Ormocanon is left behind and that public service is truly within reach,” the councilor said.
The ceremony was also attended by City Councilor Jasper Lucero, City Administrator Vincent Emnas, Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO)-Ormoc Head Joel Mendoza, Deputy Leyte Provincial Officer Engineer Gualberto R. Gualberto, Project Development Officer I Angel Rose R. Jorda, Project Development Officer I Engineer Jeanelyn C. Vinegas, Admin Aide IV Jovil Sister, and LGU-Ormoc department heads and representatives. (By Gwen Maurillo/EV Mail  June 2-8, 2025 issue)
