KANANGA, LEYTE – The 93rd Infantry “Bantay Kapayapaan” Battalion marked another significant milestone as the unit celebrated its 7th Founding Anniversary on February 28 at their headquarters in Brgy. Aguiting, Kananga, Leyte.
This year’s theme, “93IB@7: Overcoming Challenges, Building Resilience and Sustaining Excellence,” accordingly, aptly captured the battalion’s unwavering dedication to serving the Province of Leyte and Biliran while, at the same time, highlighting their accomplishments in the past seven years.
The said army unit is currently under the leadership of LTC Charlie L. Saclot, as Commanding Officer. The guest of honor and speaker, meanwhile, was BGen Noel Vestuir, the 802 Brigade Commander. In his message, he commended the 93rd Infantry Battalion on their seventh year of service, acknowledging their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and order and upholding their mission.
The 93rd Infantry Battalion, also known as the “Bantay Kapayapaan” (Peacekeeper), was activated to reinforce military units in the fight against communist rebels in Eastern Visayas. The said celebration is a testament to the battalion’s commitment to serving the community and ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens.
