BAYBAY CITY – This city through its Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Boying Cari once again proved its genuine leadership in different program implementations and gave honor to Baybayanons.
This year, it was awarded as “Top 8 Most Improved Component City” in the entire country by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during the 2024 Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index Awarding Ceremony. It was learned that amongst the Top 10 awardees nationwide, Baybay City is the only one that came from the Eastern Visayas Region.
In the City’s social media pages (Lihok Baybay and Baybay City Updates) it shared, “This award solidifies our belief that we are indeed doing our very best for our city and our dear constituents.”
Another accomplishment for the City of Baybay is through the City Assessor’s Office, OBO and BPLO being awarded by the Bureau of Local Government Finance as Rank No. 1 for the Highest Collection Efficiency; Rank No. 1 on Year Growth Rate on Local Sources; and Rank No. 3 on Highest Nominal Locally Sourced Revenues.
Baybay City takes pride in continuing its legacy to be on top of every endeavor and commitment to public service.
