TACLOBAN CITY – Over 1,400 fresh graduates of the Biliran Province State University (BIPSU) will receive a “job hunting” financial assistance from the provincial government of Biliran.

This, Governor Gerard Espina shared, saying that indigent Biliranon BIPSU students who graduated last September 20, 2022 will be receiving Php 3,000 cash assistance each.

“Considering that they are already part of the unemployed after graduation, they need assistance in processing their papers for a job application and expenses while job hunting,” explained Governor Espina.

Despite having the lowest poverty incidence rate in the region, the official clarified that they only want to help the families of newly minted professionals.

“With the increasing number of unemployed after graduation, I hope that this incentive could help kickstart their professional journey,” he shared.  Accordingly, a mass payout will soon be held after the submission of requirements by the graduates that will be verified through BIPSU’s database; and that starting next week, they will be accepting applications in their satellite offices and the office of the governor.
