ORMOC CITY – City Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez presided over a solemn oathtaking ceremony for the newly appointed Punong Barangay of Barangay Alta Vista, this city, who is PB Dinah Larino, at the City Mayor’s Office on Tuesday (June 25).
The ceremony marked the official assumption of duties by PB Larino, succeeding PB Dennis Laurente, who passed away on June 21, 2024.
Further, the oathtaking ceremony not only honored the memory of PB Dennis Laurente but also marked a new chapter in the leadership of Barangay Alta Vista.
Mayor Lucy expressed her confidence in PB Dinah Larino’s capability to uphold the duties of her position and to continue the progress and welfare of the barangay residents. The gathering concluded with well-wishes and commitments from attendees to collaborate for the betterment of Ormoc City and its barangays, reinforcing the spirit of unity and service that defines local governance in the community.
PB Dinah Larino, on the one hand, was accompanied by her Barangay Council as she took the oath of office, symbolizing her commitment to serving the community with dedication and integrity.
The event was also attended and witnessed by prominent local officials, including Leyte Fourth District Representative Richard I. Gomez, the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) Nolito Quilang, Gregorio Yrastorza III, Burt Pades, Rey Evangelista, Caren Torres Rama, Edmund Kierulf, and Lalaine Marcos, Liga ng mga Barangay President Esteban Laurente, and SK Federation President Krizea Caessandra Mercadal.
