TACLOBAN CITY – The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) in Eastern Visayas announced a PHP30.00 increase in the daily minimum wage in two tranches.
The said wage increase is based on Wage Order No. RB VIll-24, which was approved on November 5, 2024.
The RTWPB said the wage order was implemented after a thorough review and evaluation of the existing socio-economic conditions in the region as well as consultations in key areas.
Starting December 2, 2024, a PHP15.00 increase will be implemented in addition to the PHP405.00 minimum wage for non-agriculture or service/retail establishments with 11 or more employees. It will be followed by an additional increase of PHP15.00 bringing to total minimum wage to PHP435.00 on June 1, 2025.
Workers in the agricultural sector, including service/retail establishments with 10 employees and below, and those working in cottage and handicraft industries, will receive an increase from P375 to P405 minimum wage. It will also be implemented in two tranches.
