TACLOBAN CITY – A jail guard and a suspected supplier of illegal drugs in a facility in Abuyog, Leyte was nabbed in a buy-bust operation, on Friday (June 21) in Brgy. Can-uguib Abuyog, Leyte.
The suspect was identified as alias “Amir,” 45 years old, a high-value individual in illegal drugs, and a resident of the said town.
A poseur buyer from the joint team of Abuyog Municipal Police Station and the region’s Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-8) was able to purchase PHP500.00 worth of suspected shabu from the suspect and five more small sachets containing suspected shabu. The total confiscated suspected drug evidence weighs more or less 3.24 grams with an estimated street value of PHP22,000.00. He was brought to Abuyog Municipal Police Station for documentation and processing. The suspect will be charged with violations of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for sale and possession of illegal drugs.
