TACLOBAN CITY – A 48-year-old man stabbed his wife to death, and took his life thereafter, Thursday (June 4) in Brgy. Tenani, Paranas, Samar. 
The victim was identified as “Issa,” 38, while the suspect was identified as “Boy,” both farmers, and residents of said place. Authorities found the victim was lying lifeless on the ground at the back of their house while the suspect was discovered inside their residence. He was lying face down with blood oozing from his body. 

Accordingly, the victim and the suspect had a heated conversation regarding the victim’s plan to go to Manila for work. Thereafter, a disagreement occurred, leading the suspect to stab the victim multiple times in various parts of her body. After that, the suspect stabbed himself several times. 

The responding team recovered two long-bladed weapons, locally known as “sundang,” at the scene. Both the victim and the suspect were rushed to the Paranas Rural Health Unit by the responding Paranas Emergency Rescue Response Team (PERRT).
