CATBALOGAN CITY – 21 ka mga bag-ong opisyal sa militar ang nangabot sa headquarters sa 8th Infantry “Stormtroopers” Division sa Philippine Army nga naka-base sa Catbalogan City, Samar diin gipahigayon ang send-off ceremony aron e-turn over na usab sila sa mga tagsa-tagsa ka units sa nagkadaiyang lugar ubos sa hurisdiksyon sa 8th ID.
Sa mensahi pa ni Colonel Arlino L. Sendaydiego, PA, ang Chief of Staff sa kasundaluhan sa Rehiyon Otso nga, “This is not just your first assignment, this is the first chapter of your selfless service to the nation. You now carry the proud name of “Stormtroopers”—warriors of Eastern Visayas. Hindi aksidente na napunta kayo dito, you were chosen not just to fill a post but to fulfill a purpose.”
Ang 21 ka mga bag-ong nadistino nga may ranggo nga 2nd Lieutenants, kay mga miembro sa Officers Candidate Course (OCC ) “KATARAKIAN” Class 61-2024.
