KANANGA, LEYTE – Nilampos ang mga elemento sa Leyte Provincial Police Office (LPPO), sa pagpanguna ni IO2 Bernadette Cajara (Led Unit), PDEA RO8, Regional Special Enforcement Team, ubos ni IO2 James Anthony Quilo sa pakig-koordinasyon sa PDEA 8 kauban ang Kananga Municipal Police Station (MPS) nga gipangulohan ni Police Major Romeo Q. Sudario, pagsikop sa suspek atul sa buy-bust operation mga alas 7:00 sa gabie niadtong Abril 7, 2025.
Naila ang suspek nga si alyas “Jonil,” 29 anyos, walay trabaho ug taga Ducalang St., Barangay Poblacion, Kananga, Leyte. Sigun sa record sa kapolisan, usa siya sa naa sa Regional Priority Target List (RP-TL) ug ika No. 9. Naka-kompiska ang autoridad ug ubay-ubay nga heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet nga dunay sulod sa gidudahang shabu, duna poy marked money ug uban pa.
Gidala na ang mga ebedinsya aron ma-turn over sa PDEA Laboratory Section, PDEA 8, Government Center, Palo, Leyte alang sa kompirmasyon ug tino nga imbistigasyon. Samtang ang suspek gidala sa Kananga MPS. Nag-atubang na siyag kaso kontra Sections 5 and 11 of Article II of Republic Act 9165, o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Nag-awhag ang Kananga MPS sa publiko nga mag-binantayon sa palibot batok sa naghimo ug maka-dudang aktibidad partikular kalabot sa illegal nga drugas. “By working together, we can keep our communities safe and protect them from the dangers of illegal drugs and to save the future of our next generation,” matud pa sa hepe.
