THE ORMOC CITY Division dominated the first cluster events of the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet 2025 held in Dolores and Can-avid, Eastern Samar, on February 20-23, 2025, as it bagged 23 medals.
The Ormoc Siglaro Elites currently top the overall standings with 23 medals after bagging 12 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 5 bronze medals. On the other hand, the Leyte Division settled for the second spot, having obtained a total of 16 medals after garnering 5 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals. At third rank, meanwhile, is Northern Samar Division, which got a total of 12 medals for grabbing 2 gold medals, 6 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals.
On the one hand, Baybay City Division won 10 medals while the divisions of Eastern Samar, Maasin City, and Samar each got 10 medals followed by Southern Leyte with 8 medals; Catbalogan City with 7 medals; Calbayog City Division with 6 medals; Tacloban City Division with 5 medals; Borongan City with 2 medals; and Biliran Division with 1 medal.
The said result was based on the official results as of February 26, 2025 of the overall medal tally. Athletes from various LGUs competed in baseball, billiards, boxing, futsal, sepak takraw, softball, and table tennis in Eastern Samar.
Finally, Maasin City will host the EVRAA Meet 2025 from February 27 to March 2, 2025 for competitions in arnis, badminton, basketball, chess, football, pencak silat, volleyball, and wushu while it will be Tacloban City that will host the final leg of the sporting event from March 6 to 9 for the sports archery, athletics, dance sports, gymnastics, special games, swimming, taekwondo, tennis, and wrestling.
