TACLOBAN CITY – Pinaagi sa hiniusang pwersa sa intelligence group nga gipangulohan sa Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) ubos ni PBGEN Jay R. Cumigad, naaresto ang “top wanted person” sa Eastern Visayas niadtong Pebrero 5, 2025 sa Purok Kawayanan, Brgy. Tayud, Liloan, Cebu.
Ang mga operatiba gikan sa PRO-7 og PRO-8 nga niresulta sa pagka sikop ni alyas “Nic,” 27 anyos, residenti sa Tabango, Leyte. Nabantog siya nga miembro sa mga gun-for-hire group nga nag-lihok sa 3rd og 4th district sa Leyte.
Ang pag-sikop kaniya pinasikad sa “multiple warrants of arrest” nga gi-isyu niadtong Mayo 23, 2024. Sumala pa nag lakip kini sa “Three counts of murder,” “Violation of Sections 11(3) and 12, Article II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002),” ug “Violation of Section 28(A) in relation to Section 28(E) of R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).”
Ang akusado nalambigit matud pa sa kasong pag-pamusil sa Brgy. Casilion, Villaba, Leyte, niadtong December 11, 2023, nga niresulta sa kamatayon sa usa ka former barangay kagawad ug iyang 7-anyos nga anak lalaki. Apil ang usa pa didto sa Sitio Banahaw, Brgy. Tugas, Tabango, Leyte, niadtong February 20, 2024, diin usa ka barangay councilor sa Brgy. Sta. Rosa, Tabango, Leyte ang gi-target.
