THE PAGSALUDO 2025: CITY PEACE AND ORDER COUNCIL Awards Program for Uniformed Personnel and Force Multipliers, spearheaded by the City Peace and Order Council (CPOC) of Ormoc City, was held at the Multipurpose Hall of the new Ormoc City Hall on July 1, 2025. Plaques and medals were personally bestowed on the awardees by City Mayor Lucy Torres-Gomez together with former Sangguniang Panlungsod Member (SPM) Goito Yrastorza III, and SPM Ari Larrazabal, the current Chairperson of the Committee on Peace and Order.
In her message, the mayor thanked all the uniformed personnel and force multipliers for keeping peace and order in Ormoc City.
The CPOC, through this program, aims to institutionalize a system of recognition for uniformed personnel deployed in the city and their force multipliers; recognize and reward uniformed personnel deployed in the city and their force multipliers for their superior accomplishments, exemplary behavior, and extraordinary services in upholding peace and order and public safety; and inspire the city’s uniformed personnel to improve the quality of their performance and instill deeper involvement in public service.
Accordingly, there were a total of 93 awardees. The awardees are personnel from the Ormoc City Police Office (OCPO), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine Army (PA), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG). The event was also attended by Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region VIII Director Arnel Agabe, outgoing City Local Government Operations Officer (CLGOO) Jean Redi T.
