DEPED ROLLS OUT “LAKAS SA GATAS” MILK CAMPAIGN IN ORMOC. The Chairperson of the Committee on Education and Manpower Development, SP Member Edmund Kierulf, attended the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Roll-out of the “Lakas sa Gatas” Milk Campaign held at the Valencia Central School on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The campaign seeks to promote awareness of the importance of milk and dairy consumption in enhancing the nutritional well-being of learners, specifically instilling positive values and attitudes toward milk, and reinforcing consistent and healthy milk-drinking habits among students.

In his message, SP Member Kierulf emphasized the significance of the initiative, stating that the program holds deep value because it upholds the belief that proper nourishment is a basic right, not a privilege. “When we choose to nurture even the smallest lives among us, we are choosing the kind of future we want to build—resilient, compassionate, and full of promise,” he added.

Also present were DepEd-Ormoc Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Carmelino Bernadas, DepEd-Ormoc Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lorelei Masias, along with representatives from the DepEd Regional Office, various Schools Division Offices, and stakeholders.
