LEYTE 4^TH DEO BUILDS MULTI-PURPOSE BUILDING IN MATAG-OB. The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office has completed the construction of a multi-purpose building located in Barangay Candelaria, Matag-ob, Leyte. The project’s scope of work consists of a standard sized basketball court with rubberized flooring, a built-in stage, fully functional comfort rooms, lighting works, and slope protection. With this new facility, residents now have a safe and comfortable venue for sports, recreational, and other various community activities. OIC-District Engineer Peter Scheler V. Soco said, “We hope that this multi-purpose building will help foster unity and engagement among the residents of Barangay Candelaria and nearby areas.” The project amounted to PHP9,849,999.29 with funding sourced from the General Appropriations Act (GAA) of 2025.
