EXCITING OPPORTUNITIES FOR ORMOCANONS AND JOB SEEKERS FROM NEARBY COMMUNITIES. The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Ormoc City, in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), conducted the 2025 Job and Kadiwa Fair at the Ormoc City Hall lobby on Saturday, September 13, 2025. The event provided a valuable platform for local job seekers to explore diverse employment opportunities and connect directly with top employers from various industries.
The list of participating employers included: EVR Training Corp., Fan’s Hotel Ormoc, NWTF Dungganon, Alano and Sons Credit Corporation, PCBSI Port Terminal Management Corp., Dunkin Donuts, McDonald’s, Direct Pocket Inc., Pryce Gases Inc., Mitsubishi Ormoc, Mancao E-Connect Business Solutions OPC (MEBS), Leyte Agri Corp., and PSWRI (Nature’s Spring).
The fair also featured the Kadiwa stalls, showcasing local products from small businesses—promoting entrepreneurship and supporting the local economy. In addition, livelihood cheques were awarded, with PHP1,000,000.00 granted to the Sta. Margarita Integrated Farm Tellers in Barangay Sta. Margarita, Hilongos, Leyte, for their egg-layering project benefiting 34 beneficiaries, and another PHP1,000,000.00 was awarded to the San Roque Farmers Association in Barangay San Roque, Hilongos, Leyte, for their hog fattening project benefiting 44 beneficiaries.
