TACLOBAN CITY – A man was stabbed to death by his brother on Monday (July 21) along the National Highway of Brgy. Kaulangohan, Caibiran, Biliran.
The victim was identified as alias “Chris,” of legal age, and a resident of Brgy. Alegria of said town. Meanwhile, the suspect was identified as alias “Joss,” 62, and a resident of Sitio Tigbaw, Brgy. Binohangan, also in Caibiran.
Initial investigation revealed that the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session at Sitio Tanghasin, Brgy. Binohangan. On their way home, a heated argument ensued between the siblings, which resulted in Joss stabbing Chris.
The victim sustained a stab wound in his right chest, which caused his instantaneous death. The suspect surrendered and confessed to the offense to the police officers at the scene. (By Marie Tonette Marticio / EV Mail JULY 21-27, 2025 issue)
