TACLOBAN CITY – Over PHP 379,000.00 worth of shabu was seized in a buy-bust operation in Ormoc City, on Wednesday (February 7).
The suspect was identified as Renee Parilla alias “Lollipop,” 47, a resident of Brgy. Bagong Buhay, Ormoc.
A poseur buyer from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 8 (PDEA-8) was able to buy PHP 500,000.00 worth of shabu from the suspect. They also seized two big sachets and three small sachets containing 55 grams of shabu from his possession.
Parilla also confessed to owning and selling illegal drugs for years now.
The barangay officials disclosed that Parilla continued with his involvement in the illegal drug trade despite several warnings.
The suspect has been placed under the custody of the Ormoc City Police Station 4 in Brgy. Linao while cases for violations of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being filed against him. By Marie Tonette Marticio (EV Mail Feb. 5-11, 2024 issue)
