ISABEL, LEYTE – Two high-value drug personalities were killed during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Apale, this town, on Sunday evening, June 4, 2023.
The suspects were identified as Zaidamin Langco and Abdula Langco, both from Kananga, Leyte.
Accordingly, packages of suspected shabu with a street value of PHP 782,000 were recovered from said suspects, who, accordingly, noticed that the police were the people they were transacting with, and so they pulled out their weapons and resisted, causing the police to retaliate.
Both were taken to the hospital but were declared dead.
The said operation was led by Police Major J-Rale Paalisbo of the Police Regional Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Isabel, Leyte police force.
Meanwhile, Leyte 4th District Representative Richard I. Gomez expressed his appreciation to the police for their continuous operations against illegal drugs. To recall, Kananga, Leyte Mayor Matt Torres also ordered the persecution of all drug personalities and asked the illegal-doers to leave the city if they did not quit doing so.
