ORMOC CITY MAYOR LUCY TORRES GOMEZ GRACES SPC’S 110TH FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY CULMINATING PROGRAM. Ormoc City Mayor Lucy Torres Gomez delivered an inspirational message while gracing the opening of the newly renovated Culture and Arts Center during St. Peter’s College’s 110th founding anniversary culminating program on Friday morning, February 23, 2024, at the SPC Gymnatorium.

City Mayor Lucy had a trip down memory lane while delivering her speech, particularly sharing that her favorite place is the campus library.

She also reminded all the students to be obedient, to have a good balance between studies and fun activities, and not be afraid of strict educational learning because, in a place where a child has to be molded, there has to be borders or parameters to discover the real beauty of success.

She ended her speech by thanking all the educators for all the sacrifices and hard work in shaping not just today’s generation of SPCians but all the generations for the past 110 years.

School President Sr. Maureen Cariaga, School Treasurer Sr. Matthea Husmillo, Superior of the Benedictine Sisters-Ormoc City Sr. Agnes Cerina, Basic Education Department-OIC Mrs. Ma. Jesusa Janet Dimpal, College Department Deputy Dean Mrs. Mildred Alagdon, middle administrators, faculty, non-teaching personnel, staff and students also gathered to attend the said event.
