TACLOBAN CITY – A farmer died recently after suffering from cardiac arrest due to intense heat in Brgy. Candelaria, Matag-ob, Leyte.

The victim was identified as Rogelio Sumpino. 

Initial investigation disclosed that Sumpino was carrying firewood when he suddenly fell. He was already lifeless when the rescuers arrived at the scene. He was then brought to the Rural Health Unit of Matag-ob (RHU-Matag-ob).

RHU-Matag-ob confirmed that Sumpino suffered from fatal cardiac arrest due to intense heat that caused his instantaneous death.
