TANAUAN, LEYTE – A tricycle driver died then and there when his brother stabbed him in Guindag-an, Tanauan, Leyte, at around 5:46 P.M. on February 17, 2024.

The victim was identified as Loreto Sales, 65, married, a tricycle driver, and a resident of Tacloban City. The suspect meanwhile, was identified as Rodrigo Sales, 54, a farmer and a resident of Brgy. Guindag-an, Tanauan, Leyte.

Based on the investigation by the police in Tanauan, the suspect and victim are siblings.

According to the police, the suspect and the victim had a drinking spree when they suddenly started talking about their land. Further, the two got into a heated argument, causing Rodrigo to stab Lorito in various parts of his body.

Lorito was taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
